Hello and welcome,

 

Today, on Valentine's day, have have a tag with lots of kisses for you. Want to see how I made it? Come along!

 

I used the following stencils:

Triptych A4 (470.803.046)

A5 Grnunge 1 (470.802.072)

Kisses A4 by Julia Woning (470.765.004)

Ik begon met dotjes blauwe verf op een grote tag (die al in de witte gesso gezet was) van 10 x 23 cm en smeerde ze uit met een oud pasje. Daarna bracht ik op dezelfde manier roze verf aan. Door de blauwe verf niet overal aan te brengen en de roze een beetje over het blauw te laten lopen, krijg je mooie kleurschakeringen.

I started with adding a few drops of blue paint to a large tag (pre-gessoed) (10 x 23 cm) and I spread it out with an old savings card. I did the same with pink paint. By not covering the whole tag with the blue paint and overlapping the blue a little with the pink paint, you get nice colour combinations.

 

 

Daarna bracht ik door verschillende stencils witte en zwarte gesso aan:

Then I added white and black gesso through stencils:

 

Daarna gestempeld met een blokje, omwikkeld met hennep bindtouw, met doppen en daarna gespetterd met verdunde gesso.

Then some stamping with gesso with twine, twisted around a wooden block, with lids and some splatters with thinned gesso.

 

 

Hij was nog wat te leeg naar mijn idee, dus stencilde ik er nog wat kleine rondjes op.

It was just a bit too empty, so I stencilled some small circles on top.

Met distress-inkt sponsde ik een paar zoenen op een apart vel papier, om sommige tekende ik een zwarte rand met een paint marker en knipte ze uit.

I sponged some kisses on a separate piece of paper, using distress ink. I outlined some of them with a black paint marker and cut them out.

Ook stempelde en kleurde ik het meisje en schreef ik een tekst die ik voor vandaag wel toepasselijk vind. Deze knipte ik in losse woordjes.

I stamped and coloured the little girl and I wrote a text that I found appropriate for today. I cut it into separate words.

AJ Pagina Classy love

 

 Hallo allemaal,

 

 

Vandaag heb ik een pagina in mijn Art Journal gemaakt met de Classy Love foamstempel 494.904.004 en het A4 stencil Spirograph 1 470.803.049. - Hello everyone, Today I've made a page in my Art Journal with the Classy Love foamstamp 494.904.004 and the A4 stencil Spirograph 1 470.803.049.

 Voor de achtergrond heb ik twee kleuren acrylverf gebruikt, deze heb ik met een kwast aangebracht, maar dit zou ook kunnen met een brayer of een spons. - For the background I used two colours of acrylic paint, I applied the paint with a brush, but you can also use a brayer or a sponge.

Met een blending tool, Distress Ink en het stencil heb ik het motief aangebracht.

 De mooie dame heb ik gestempeld met Archival Ink en ingekleurd met aquarelverf en één Neocolor 2 krijtje.

I stamped this lovely lady with Archival ink and I used aquarel paint and one Neocolor 2 crayon.

 

De dame heb ik uitgeknipt, op de achtergrond heb ik met een witte Posca spetters aangebracht. Tot slot heb ik de dame en de tekst op de pagina geplakt. Ik hoop dat ik jullie weer heb kunnen inspireren.

I cut the lady out, and applied spatters on the background with a white Posca. Lastly I glued the lady and the text on the page. Hopefully I've been able to inspire you.

Een Valentijns kaartje vond ik deze keer wel toepasselijk!

 

I thought a Valentine card was appropriate this time!

 

 

Ik heb 2 stencils van Pronty van gebruikt:

Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade + Worn Lipstick

Gelli Plate + Brayer

 

Zwarte stift en acrylverf in de kleuren roze, geel, blauw en paars.

 

Black marker and acrylic paint in the colours pink, yellow, blue and purple.

 

Met de stempelkussentjes heb ik de Distress Oxide op de gelli plate aangebracht.

 

I applied the Distress Oxide with the inkpads on to the gelli plate.

 

 

Met de Brayer heb ik de kleuren verspreid op de gelli plate.

 

I diffused the colours with the brayer on the gelli plate.

 

 

Daarna heb ik een afdruk gemaakt op een stuk aquarelpapier.

 

Then I made a print on a piece of watercolour paper.

 

 

De gelli plate heb ik schoongemaakt

en toen heb ik er opnieuw roze Distress Oxide op aangebracht.

Toen heb ik het "Kisses" stencil op de gelli plate gelegd en weer een afdruk gemaakt.

 

I cleaned the gelli plate and applied a new layer of pink Distress Oxide.

Then I placed the Kisses stencil on top of the gelli plate and made another print.

 

 

 

Van de afdruk heb ik de witte rand afgesneden.

I cut the white border of the print.

 

Op een wit papiertje, iets groter dan de afdruk,

heb ik met verschillende kleurtjes gespetterd.

Probeer dezelfde kleuren te gebruiken die je al hebt gebruikt

en die in het gekozen plaatje zitten.

On a white paper, a bit larger than the print,

I made splatters with a few colours.

Try to use the same colours you already used

and are used in the focal image.

 

 

Daarna heb ik de afdruk op het papier met de spetters gelijmd.

 

Then I glued the print on the paper with the splatters.

 

 

Met het alfabet stencil heb ik de woorden getekend die ik wilde gebruiken.

 

With the alphabet stencil I drew the words I wanted to use.

 

 

Plak alles op de print,

nog een laatste stempeltje er bij en klaar is de Valentijn kaart!

 

Glue everything on the print,

stamp another sentiment and your Valentine card is ready!

Vandaag laat ik jullie zien hoe je met distress Oxide en foamstempels een stoere achtergrond kan maken. Ik hou van art-journaling en gebruik hier vaak songteksten bij en laat jullie zien hoe ik dat doe.

Hello everyone,

Today I show you how to make a tough background with distress Oxide and foam stamps. I love art journaling and often use song lyrics and show you how I do that.

Necessities:
 - some colors of distress oxide
- brayer
- spray bottle of water
Chevron 494.001.010, dry ground 494.001.012, trunk 494.001.003
- gel pen / acrylic markers
-acrylic paint
- brush

Als eerste heb ik met een brayer verschillende kleuren distress oxide aangebracht in mijn art journal. Eerst ‘droog’. Vervolgens heb ik de brayer ook nat gemaakt om de kleuren beter te blenden.

First, I applied different colors of distress oxide to my art journal with a brayer. First 'dry'. Then I also wet the brayer to blend the colors better.

 Vervolgens ben ik de foamstempels gaan gebruiken. Ik heb distress oxide op de foamstempel aangebracht en deze vervolgens nat gemaakt met water. Vervolgens heb ik verschillende afsdrukken gemaakt op de pagina. Ik heb 3 verschillende foamstempels gebruikt en 3 verschillende kleuren. Voor het gave effect heb ik waterdruppels op de pagina gegooid en laten drogen.

Then I started using the foam stamps. I applied distress oxide to the foam stamp and then wet it with water. Then I made several prints on the page. I used 3 different foam stamps and 3 different colors. For the cool effect, I threw water drops on the page and let it dry.

Ik zocht een songtekst uit op internet en schreef deze met een gelpen op de achtergrond van de pagina. Ik vind dit altijd een leuk effect geven!

I searched a song text on the internet and wrote it with a gelpen on the background of the page. I always think this gives a nice effect!

Vervolgens schilderde ik wat in me opkwam op de pagina naar aanleiding van de songtekst. Ik gebruikte op de zwarte verf acrylverf van Amsterdam in de kleur parelviolet voor een speciaal effect.

Then I painted what occurred to me on the page following the lyrics. I used Amsterdam paint in the color pearl violet on the black paint for a special effect.

 Ik herhaalde een deel van de songtekst met een acrylmarker en bracht accenten aan.

I repeated part of the lyrics with an acrylic marker and added accents.

Today I have a colorful page from my Art Journal for you.
What have I used for it;

Acrylic paint: red - orange - yellow - blue - green - white - black
Structure paste from Dutch Doobadoo

Als eerste heb ik met een droge kwast de kleuren aangebracht.

Op een apart A-4tje heb ik de kwast ‘leeg’ gemaakt. Deze hebben we straks nog nodig.

Met de kleur wit heb ik wat lichte accenten aangebracht.

First I applied the colors with a dry brush.
On a separate A-4tje I made the brush 'empty'. We will need this one later.
With the color white I have applied some light accents.

 

Het stencil met sterren heb ik gebruikt om in de linkerbovenhoek accenten aan 

te brengen met structuurpasta gemengd met verf.

Rechtsonder heb ik alleen maar verf aangebracht met het stencil.

The stencil with stars I used to add accents in the top left corner with 

structure paste mixed with paint.
Bottom right I only applied paint with the stencil.

 

Met witte acrylverf en een paletmes heb ik streepjes aangebracht.

Vervolgens heb ik met de kleine ster van de set foamstempels hier en daar witte 

sterren op mijn bladzijde gestempeld.

I applied dashes with white acrylic paint and a palette knife.
Then I stamped white stars on my page here and there with 

the little star of the set of foam stamps.

Ik heb op karton de twee grootste sterren gestempeld en deze uitgeknipt.

Deze gebruik ik als mal. Met een zwart aquarelpotlood trek ik de omtrek van de sterren na.

Daarna stempel ik met zwarte inkt de sterren op het A -4tje waarop ik mijn penselen heb ‘droog gekwast’. Deze knip ik uit en plak ze op mijn art journal bladzijde. Met een waterkwastje maak ik de zwarte lijnen wat zachter .

 I stamped the two biggest stars on cardboard and cut them out.
I use this as a mold. I trace the circumference of the stars with a black watercolor pencil.
Then I stamp the stars on the A4 sheet with black ink on which I brushed my brushes. I cut this out and stick it on my art journal page. I make the black lines a bit softer with a waterwash.

Met verdunde zwarte en witte acrylverf en een spetterkwast maak ik spetters

Met een witte posca stift heb ik de tekst geschreven. De andere tekst heb ik op 

de pc gemaakt , uitgeprint en in stukjes opgeplakt. 

I wrote the text with a white posca marker. I have printed out the other text 

on the PC, and glued it into pieces.

Ik hoop dat ik jullie weer heb kunnen  inspireren.
