Schilderij van knutselhoutjes

Hallo allemaal,

 

vandaag heb ik een klein schilderijtje gemaakt met knutselhoutjes, of ijsstokjes.

Ik heb de volgende producten gebruikt:

- Pronty stencil 470.850.000 Palmtree

- Pronty stencil 470.268.120 Llama & Cactus

- knutselhoutjes

- acryl verf , Amsterdam

- Tacky Glue

- dubbelzijdig tape

- Gesso

- een penseel

Hello everyone,

 

 today I made a painting using craft sticks, or ice cream sticks. 

I've used the following products:

- Pronty stencil 470.850.000 Palmtree

- Pronty stencil 470.268.120 Llama & Cactus

- craft sticks

- Acrylic paint, Amsterdam

- Tacky Glue

- dubble coated tape

- Gesso

- a paint brush

Als eerste heb ik de houtjes op een rijtje gelegd om te kijken hoe groot het stukje craft papier voor de achterkant moet zijn. Ik heb twee strookjes dubbelzijdig tape op het papier geplakt en daar tussen Tacky Glue aangebracht.

First I laid the sticks next to each other, to see how big the piece of craft paper had to be. I taped two pieces of  dubble coated tape on the paper and applied Tacky Glue in between those pieces.

Ik leg er steeds één houtje op en naast elk houtje smeer ik wat Tacky Glue, zodat het ook tussen de houtjes komt. De lijm die op de bovenkant komt, haal ik met een nat penseeltje weg.

I put one stick on the paper at a time, I also use Tacky Glue on the sides of the sticks. The glue that gets on the front of the sticks, can be removed with a wet paint brush.

Toen het geheel goed vast zat en droog was, smeerde ik er een laagje transparante Gesso op.

When everything was dry and well secured, I applied a layer of transparent Gesso.

Nadat de Gesso is opgedroogd, heb ik groene en roze verf aangebracht. Ik breng dit willekeurig aan met een kwastje en laat de kleuren niet te veel overlappen.

After the Gesso has dried, I applied green and pink paint. I apply the colours randomly and make sure they don't overlap to much.

Met een stevige prikpen heb ik twee gaatjes gemaakt, waar ik een touwtje doorheen haal om het te kunnen ophangen. De tekst en de afbeeldingen heb ik met Distress Oxide en twee verschillende stencils aangebracht. De blauwe Distress Oxide heb ik ook nog bij de randen gebruikt en ik heb nog met witte acrylverf gespetterd.

I made two holes with a pricker, and I put a string through the holes. I used two different stencils and Distress Oxide to apply the word and images. I used the blue Distress Oxide on the edges as well and I also spatterd some white paint on the painting.

Deze twee stencils heb ik gebruikt voor mijn schilderijtje.
