Make&take PCC Folkje

Volgende week hebben we weer de Creaweek op mijn werk bij Jacobi Drachten.

Ik heb dan ook weer een make&take mogen voorbereiden.

Deze keer ga ik aan de slag met de mooie nieuwe mask stencils van Pronty Crafts natuurlijk.

Doe@ding demodagen 29 en 30 september

Vanaf morgen mag ik twee dagen een Pronty Crafts workshop verzorgen tijdens de demodagen van Doe@ding in Spijkenisse. Tijdens deze twee gezellige dagen zijn er naast mijn workshop nog vele andere workshops te volgen en demo's te bezichtigen.

Voor het kleine bedrag van € 2,50 kun je bij mij aanschuiven, om bovenstaande creatie te maken, zodra er een plaatsje vrij is. Je kan bij mij dus lekker aan de slag met het nieuwe Pronty Crafts clipboard 461.941.712 en enkele van de toffe nieuwe Pronty Crafts mask stencils. Nou is mijn voorbeeld in het roze, mijn favoriete kleur ;-), maar natuurlijk kun je ook een andere leuke kleur kiezen (o.a. paars, blauw, groen, geel of oranje).

Zie ik jullie dus gezellig vrijdag (tussen 9u en 14u) of zaterdag (tussen 10u en 16u) aan mijn workshoptafel in Spijkenisse? 

Mathematics boring?

Met veel plezier heb ik een neutraal schrift bewerkt. Wiskunde is voor veel leerlingen een verschrikking. Hopelijk blijven ze de moed er makkelijker inhouden als ze een mooi schrift hebben.

With pleasure I have decorated an excercise book. Mathematics can be very boring for a lot of students. I hope they will enjoy it more when they have a nice excercise book.

 De volgende artikelen en materialen heb ik hiervoor gebruikt:

Als eerste heb ik het schrift bewerkt met witte gesso. Zo heb je een perfecte onderlaag.

First I've painted the book with white gesso for a prefect undercoat.  

Daarna heb ik het prachtige patroon van het Pronty Crafts mask stencil Pattern Triangles 470.803.043 aangebracht met behulp van de witte structuurpasta.

I then added the beautiful pattern of the Pronty Crafts mask stencil Pattern Triangles 470.803.043 by using the modeling paste.

Het is belangrijk om dit eerst goed te laten drogen voordat je de kleur aan gaat brengen.

It's important to let it dry completely before adding the colour.

Daarna heb ik met twee verschillende pastelkleuren het patroon wat kleur gegeven.

I then added two different pastel colours to add some colour to the pattern.

Om het geheel af te maken heb ik kleine cijfers en een paar wiskundige tekens uitgeprint, uitgeknipt en opgeplakt. Het wiskunde schrift is niet meer saai. Laten we hopen dat dit positief uitwerkt tijdens de lessen.

Ik hoop jullie hiermee geïnspireerd te hebben om ook met dit prachtige Pronty Crafts mask stencil aan de slag te gaan. Een hele fijne en creatieve herfst gewenst!

As a final touch I've printed out a few numbers and mathematical signs, cut them out and stuck them on the exercise book. The excercise book is no longer boring. Let’s hope that this will work out positively during the lessons.

Atc cards

Vandaag laat ik jullie zien dat je de grote mask stencils van Pronty Crafts ook op een klein atc-kaartje kunt gebruiken.

Today I want to show you that you can also use the large Pronty Crafst mask stencils on a small atc card.

 

Plak stukjes boekpapier op een atc-kaartje en spons in twee kleuren.

Glue pieces of book paper on an atc card and sponge with two colours.

Stempel vervolgens de afbeeldingen met zwarte inkt en kleur ze met potlood

Stamp some images with black ink and colour them with pencils.

 Spons met dezelfde kleuren door de Pronty Crafts mask stencils, Square swirl 470.801.044 en
Square with dots 470.801.045, rondom je afbeeldingen.

De stencils in de achtergrond geven diepte aan je kaartje.

Sponge with the same colours around the images through the Pronty Crafts mask stencils Square swirl 470.801.044 and Square with dots 470.801.045.

The stencils in the background add depth to your little card. 

 Voor deze atc gebruikte ik alle onderdelen van het Pronty Crafts A4 mask stencil Triptych 470.803.046.

For this atc card I used all sections of the Pronty Crafts A4 mask stencil Triptych 470.803.046.

Zag je de zwarte veeg op de tweede atc? Ik heb hem weggewerkt met een vlindertje.

Daarna heb ik de kaartjes op zwart gemat, zodat de kleuren meer gaan spreken.

Ik hoop dat je mijn tutorial leuk vond. Het was in ieder geval erg leuk om met de nieuwste Pronty Crafts mask stencils aan de slag te gaan en deze atc-kaartjes voor jullie te maken.

Did you notice the black smudge on the second atc card? I covered it up with a small butterfly.

Then I adhered the cards to black card, to make the colours pop.

Stencilling on a bag

Vandaag mag ik mijn debuut maken als gastdesigner van Pronty Crafts voor de komende twee maanden. Ik mocht gelijk met de superleuke nieuwe Pronty Crafts mask stencils aan de slag!

Today it’s my debut as a guestdesigner for Pronty Crafts for the next two months. I got the opportunity to start off with the new Pronty Crafts mask stencils!

Ik ben aan de slag gegaan met een katoenen tas en het Pronty Crafts mask stencil 470.802.062 Dots Pattern. Ik heb hiervoor witte acrylverf gebruikt en een Pronty Crafts craftsheet.

I used a cotton bag and the Pronty Crafts mask stencil 470.802.062 Dots Pattern. I used some white acrylic paint and a Pronty Crafts craftsheet.

Met een make-up sponsje heb ik de verf door het stencil gedrukt. Het is aan te raden wel even een stuk karton in de tas te stoppen. Dit voorkomt doordrukken van de verf op de andere kant van de tas.

With a make-up sponge I pressed the paint through the stencil. I recommend you to put a piece of cardboard inside the bag, to prevent the paint from leaking through. 

Dit stencil leent zich uitstekend voor een herhalend patroon. Je kunt het eenvoudig aanleggen aan wat je al gedaan hebt en zo het patroon voortzetten.

This stencil is very usefull for creating a repeating pattern. You can easily line the stencil up to what you stencilled before and repeat the pattern.

Voor de bovenkant heb ik het stencil ook weer aan de patroon aangelegd. Hier heb ik echter met schilderstape een deel van het patroon afgeplakt zodat er een mooie rand ontstaat.

For the top I've also put the stencil on the previous stencilled pattern. Here I used some masking tape to mask off a part of the pattern to create a nice border.  

En toen was mijn tas klaar voor gebruik! Zo heb je eenvoudig een unieke eigen tas! Ik hoop dat ik jullie heb mogen inspireren om ook met de mooie Pronty Crafts mask stencils aan de slag te gaan op textiel.

Eindelijk mag ik jullie het vierluik laten zien die gemaakt is met de nieuwe Pronty Crafts mask stencils 470.803.043 A4 Pattern Triangles en 470.802.064 Abstract Shell Pattern.

Als eerste heb ik zwarte gesso aangebracht op een canvasdoekje van 20x20 cm, daarna heb ik met een oud bank pasje wat turquoise acrylverf aangebracht.

First I applied black gesso on a 20x20cm canvas and then I applied some turquoise acrylic paint with an old credit card.

Ik heb de structuurpasta, op mijn Pronty Crafts craftsheet, gemengd met zwarte acrylverf en dat aangebracht op de onderkant van het canvas.

-

On my Pronty Crafts craftsheet I've mixed the texture paste with black acrylic paint and added it on the bottom of the canvas.

Linksboven heb ik met het Pronty Crafts mask stencil 470.803.043 A4 Pattern Triangles en zwarte acrylverf de driehoekjes aangebracht. Rechtsboven heb ik met de structuurpasta en het Pronty Crafts mask stencil 470.802.064 Abstract Shell Pattern de witte figuren aangebracht. Daarna heb ik met een witte poscamarker om de driehoekjes en om de zwarte structuurpasta getekend.

In the leftcorner I've made triangles with the Pronty Crafts mask stencil 470.803.043 A4 Pattern Triangles and black acrylic paint. In the rightcorner I've made white shapes with the texture paste and the Pronty Crafts mask stencil 470.802.064 Abstract Shell pattern. After that I've drawn around the triangles and black texture paste with a white posca marker.

Dit heb ik herhaald op nog drie canvas doekjes, maar dan met een ander indeling.

I've repeated these steps on three other canvases, but with a different layout.

Hier kan je zien dat ik het patroon van het stencil steeds van het ene canvas naar het andere canvas heb laten overlopen, maar het ene soms wat verder heb laten doorlopen dan het andere.

Here you can see that I've connected the patterns on the canvases using the mask stencil but I've changed the size on each canvas.

En dit is dan het eindresultaat van de vier canvasdoekjes.

This is the end result of the four canvases.

Ik heb ook een groter vierkant canvas bewerkt met zwarte, witte en turquoise acrylverf. Ik weet nog niet welke indeling ik mooier vind en heb de kleine doeken dan ook nog niet bevestigd op het grote canvas. Hopelijk heb ik jullie kunnen inspireren ook ook met deze toffe Pronty Crafts mask stencils aan de slag te gaan.

I also put some black, white and turquoise acrylic paint on a bigger square canvas. I'm not quite sure which I layout like better, so I haven't attached the smaller canvases to the bigger canvas yet. Hopefully I've been able to inspire you to use the awesome Pronty Crafts mask stencils as well.

Vandaag laat ik jullie zien hoe je met de nieuwe Pronty crafts mask stencils op de gelliplate kan werken.

Hello everyone,

Today I show you how you can work with the new Pronty Crafts mask stencils on the gelliplate.

Voor deze kaart heb ik de volgende materialen gebruikt:

- Pronty Crafts mask stencils Square Waves 470.803.047 en  Tryptich 470.803.046
- aquarelpapier

- gelliplate (10 cm)

- inkt op waterbasis

- brayer

- aquarelkleurpotloden

Leg de gelliplate op een groot acrylblok en doe er wat inkt op.

Rol met de brayer tot het een mooie egale kleur heeft.

  -

For this card I have used the following materials:

- Pronty Crafts mask stencils Square Waves 470.803.047 and  Tryptich 470.803.046
- watercolour paper

- gelliplate (4 inch)

- waterbased ink

- brayer

- watercolour pencils

Put the gelliplate on an acrylic block and put some ink on it

Roll over it with the brayer untill it's a beautiful even colour.

De gebruikte stencils heb ik in stroken geknipt, zodat ik ze makkelijker hierop kon gebruiken.

Put the Pronty Crafts mask stencils on the gelliplate.

I've cut the used stencils into strips for easier use.

                                 Square Waves 470.803.047               Tryptich 470.803.046

Rol nu met de brayer zachtjes nog een paar keer over de Pronty Crafts mask stencils.

Haal de stencils dan van de gelliplate en druk deze af op het papier.

Gently roll over the Pronty Crafts mask stencils again with the brayer before removing them. When removed, the gelliplate can be stamped on the paper.

Ik maak nu met mijn aquarelpotlood wat accenten in de afdruk en zet wat witte stippen.

-

I then give the print some accents by using watercolour pencils and adding some white dots.

Als afwerking heb ik nog wat stempels gezet en de randen bewerkt met inkt.

To finish it of I've added some stamps and inked the edges.

En dit is dat het eindresultaat.

Art Journal.. adhesive labels..

September.. einde zomer of toch nog wat zonnige dagen ?
Het is vandaag aan mij om een creatie met fototutorial te laten zien.

September.. is the Summer really over or are there some lovely sunny days left?
Today it's up to me to show you a creation with step by step photo tutorial.

Ik ben aan de slag gegaan met een vel vol zelfklevende adreslabels, verf en een art journal.
-

I used adhesive labels, paint and an art journal.

Ik ben gestart met acrylverf en een brayer om het stickervel als achtergrond te kunnen gebruiken.
 -

I used acrylic paints and a brayer to add colour so I can use the adhesive labels as a background.

Nadat de verf droog is plak ik diverse adreslabels in mijn journal.

 -

As soon as the paint has dried I stick some of the labels on to my journal pages.

Hierna schilder ik om de labels heen met diverse kleuren acrylverf.

I paint the open spots around the labels with different colours of acrylic paint.

Zodra de achtergrond droog is gebruik ik de acrylverf en verschillende Pronty Crafts mask stencils. Allereerst gebruik ik zwarte verf bij een aantal labels om meer diepte te krijgen.

 When the background is dry I use acrylic paints and several Pronty Crafts mask stencils. I use black paint to create some depth.

Vervolgens gebruik ik een ander mask stencil met structuurpasta.
Voor deze pagina's heb ik de Pronty Crafts mask stencils Scallop stripe 470.803.034, Haringbone 470.802.057 en Mylar knit + arrows 477.400.011 gebruikt.

I also use structure paste with a mask stencil to make accents on each page.
 For these pages I used Pronty Crafts mask stencils Scallop stripe 470.803.034, Haringbone 470.802.057 en Mylar knit + arrows 477.400.011.

Ik accentueer de pagina's met zwarte, witte accenten, doodle wat en plaats nog wat losse woorden. Zodra alles droog is 'spetter' ik nog met witte verf.

 -

To accentuate the pages I use a black and white paint marker, doodle a bit and use some typed and printed random words. I also spatter both pages with white paint.

Deze pagina's zijn nu klaar en dit is dan het eindresultaat!
Ik heb nog een aantal adreslabels over. Deze zijn te gebruiken als adreslabels op een enveloppe/kaart maar uiteraard ook leuk als label aan een cadeau.

The spread is now ready and this is the end result.
I still have some adhesive labels I did not use today. They can be used as an adress label for sending a card but also as a gift tag.
